About your role

We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our dynamic international team in Amsterdam. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-growing, mission-driven scale-up while contributing directly to meaningful business operations and impact.
As part of the Finance team, you will work closely with colleagues across accounting, operations, and business functions to support day-to-day financial activities and help ensure the smooth running of our organization. You will gain practical exposure to financial processes, reporting, and operational finance in an innovative company that combines commercial growth with social and environmental impact.
This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, take ownership, and develop a strong foundation in corporate finance and accounting within an international business environment.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

Your Key Responsibilities  
  • Process supplier invoices, employee expenses, and payment requests accurately and on time.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable activities.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial workflows
  • Support the Finance team with administrative tasks when needed.

Key Objectives
  • Support the Finance team in maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations.
  • Assist with bookkeeping, reporting, and administrative finance processes.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly closing activities.
  • Help improve financial workflows and internal documentation.
  • Gain hands-on experience with financial systems, reporting, and business operations in a scale-up environment.

Core Activities

  • Reviewing and processing invoices and expense claims.
  • Updating financial records and internal trackers.
  • Supporting monthly closing checklists and reporting preparation.

Your Skills & Experience

  • You are currently enrolled in a Higher vocational education (HBO / MBO)  degree program in Accounting.
  • You have a strong interest in sustainability, technology, and mission-driven businesses.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • You are comfortable working with numbers and financial data.
  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting or ERP systems is a plus.
  • You are proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • You have strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Previous internship, extracurricular, or project experience in finance or accounting is considered a plus.
