About your role
The UX Researcher plays a vital role in understanding the needs, behaviors, and motivations of Fairphone's customers to help create an intuitive, accessible, and engaging experience on the Fairphone website.
The UX Researcher will work closely with the Lead Digital Product Designer, CRO Specialist, Product Owner, and UX Designers. As well as the Product Marketing and CX team. The role focuses on generating actionable insights that inform design solutions and business goals. You will focus on the end-to-end research process to optimize the customer journey and directly impact Direct Sales.

  • Research Planning & Execution: Design and conduct generative and evaluative research studies, including interviews, surveys, and field studies.
  • Usability Testing: Plan and execute usability tests to gather qualitative and quantitative user feedback on existing and WIP designs.
  • Insight Synthesis: Analyze research data to identify trends and translate them into actionable recommendations for the design and product teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proactively share research findings and insights with relevant stakeholders across the organization, ensuring that the "voice of the user" is understood and used to drive decision-making.
  • UX Audits: Proactively review existing designs to identify accessibility gaps and user experience issues.
  • Continuous Discovery & Optimization: Pro-actively monitor user behavior and industry trends to identify untapped opportunities for improvement, ensuring the digital experience stays ahead of user expectations.
Key Objectives
  • Improve Website CSAT Score: Ensure a user-centered design approach is applied across the digital journey to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Pro-actively identify user pain points: Find and advocate for opportunities to increase Website Conversion Rates through deep user understanding.
  • Strategic Design Support: Reactively support UX designers by conducting targeted research to validate their concepts and providing active advice on the specific research methodologies needed to help them meet their project goals
  • CRO Roadmap Enablement: Partner with the CRO Specialist to provide the qualitative evidence needed to build a high-impact A/B testing roadmap, ensuring tests are based on real user problems rather than assumptions.
Your Skills & Experience
  • Research Methodology: Strong knowledge of various qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., user interviews, card sorting, tree testing).
  • Research Tools: Proficiency with user research and analytics tools such as Hotjar, Baymard, and Google Analytics.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate research findings clearly and persuasively to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Future-Ready Research Mindset: You are excited about the future of research. You know how to leverage AI to scale your work.
