About your role

Within the Consumer & Product Propositions team, the Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for proposition development and go-to-market strategy for one of our product categories. You will partner with various teams including product, impact innovation, brand, marketing, and sales to develop the best product market fit possible. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for understanding market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to effectively position and promote products.

Your Profile 
  • Experience in consumer electronics, audio products or smartphones is a must.
  • Experience level: 7+ years in product marketing and related roles, ideally also experience working for an international brand.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively. Bonus point for German, French or Dutch as a second language. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting and coordinating quantitative and qualitative marketing research, including evaluating the competitive landscape to understand customer needs and develop winning product propositions, roadmaps and pricing strategies.

  • Identify the target audiences and translate into buying personas.

  • Representing the voice of the consumer throughout the product development process to safeguard the best product market fit.

  • Defining strong positioning & USPs around current and upcoming products in collaboration with Marketing & Product management.

  • Planning and execution of go-to-market strategies for new products and enhancements.

  • Leading cross-functional and collaborative launch programs to ensure successful product rollouts.

  • Distilling key functionality and features of the product into compelling marketing assets and consumer communication

  • Growing product adoption and cross and upsell post-launch, together with the marketing team, by monitoring results and making recommendations for future enhancements to unlock new user growth.

  • Supporting sales with focused training and product specifics (e.g., impact/sustainability USPs, technical USPs, FAQs, and objection handling), but also at trade shows, customer visits, and training sessions.

  • Analyzing market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation.

  • Translate consumer and market research into actionable insights to guide product roadmap decisions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.

  • Influence product design (briefing) based on consumer and market insights.

Your Skills & Experience
  • Market Research and Analysis: Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative market research, analyze competitive landscapes, and understand consumer needs.

  • Demonstrable experience with Value Proposition Development: Skill in defining and communicating the value proposition of products to target audiences.

  • Consumer-Centric Thinking: A deep understanding of consumer needs and the ability to represent the voice of the consumer throughout the product development process.

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Skill in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new products and enhancements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams, including product, brand, marketing, and sales.

  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Ability to define strong positioning and USPs for products and translate them into compelling marketing assets and communication.

  • Sales Enablement: Skill in supporting sales with training, product specifics, and tools to effectively sell the products.

  • Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring: Ability to analyze market data, customer feedback, and product performance to identify opportunities and make recommendations.

  • Roadmap Contribution: Skill in translating consumer and market research into actionable insights to guide product roadmap decisions and contribute to prioritization.
