About your role

The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in delivering Fairphone’s strategic procurement objectives. In addition to managing key procurement categories, the role is instrumental in supporting a healthy P&L by ensuring cost-effective sourcing and delivering the right value for money across current goods and services. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for gathering and analyzing robust market intelligence on suppliers, with a particular focus on the phone and audio industry, to inform negotiation strategies and sourcing decisions. 

Key Responsibilities & Objectives
  • Category owner for Audio products within existing markets, spare parts, accessories 

  • Responsible for scouting and sourcing of Audio products in existing markets,

  • spare parts and accessories

  • Responsible for value engineering activities for phones, audios and accessories existing in the market.

  • Support in Annual negotiation preparation which includes benchmarking, market research and intelligence.

Your skills:

  • High level of ownership and accountability,

  • Strategic mindset, problem solving,

  • Data driven decision making,

  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with suppliers.


Your Skills & Experience
Your experience:
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience within Procurement in consumer goods, FMCG, pharmaceutical etc

  • You have proven experience in sourcing within New Product Introductions (NPI)

  • You have proven experience in understanding costed BOM.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead successful negotiation with suppliers

  • Demonstrated ability to lead value engineering initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to reduce costs while maintaining or enhancing functionality.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus!

  • You have experience in working with dashboards like Power BI, Google looker studio etc is a plus.
